Jean, I have a family history entitled THE BORDNER AND BURTNER FAMILIES AND THEIR BORTNER ANCESTOS IN AMERICA by Howard W Bordner, 1967, Washington DC. It appears to be self-published. I found your Barbara who was the granddaughter of Jacob Bortner and Sarah Balt. Here is the e-mail for Donna Mohney - dmohney@westol.com - who is also a direct descendant of Jacob and Sarah! This book goes back as far as the immigrant, Balthaser Bortner, who arrived in Philadelphia in 1732 on the ship Adventure. I have the passenger list.
