While I was browsing his site I noticed there were no entries for Lebanon County in the PA section. I have been working on a website for my webspace on Rootsweb for "Lebanon Obituaries" and told him that it is a work in progress. As soon as I get a fairly sizeable database I will upload it to Rootsweb and link to his site. My plan is to gather and enter all the obits I find in local papers for this year and then start working backwards from newpaper archives at the Daily Local News or Library. The idea came to me when I was searching for my father's relatives and found an obit on a Connecticut site that listed obits. The year was 1990 when she died. Some of us aren't just looking for ancient relatives but for kin that our immediate family has lost touch with over the years. In this case, my father hadn't talked to his sisters or brother since 1936 and I'd never met them. They were always a mystery to me. Through the work of someone else on the web, I was able to locate and find information on one of his siblings. (My father died in 1979). I'm also waiting for the weather to break so that I can put Lebanon on the map with the Genweb Cemetery Project. I don't have any ancestors in this county, but I live here and it's my way of paying back all the kind folks who have done their leg work in the areas that my ancestors called home.
