Thomas is son of Jacob (1793-1867) and Catharine Lerch (1793-1868). Jacob is son of Jacob (1754-1828) and Maria Brosz (1761-1839). Jacob was farmer in Bethel Twp. Jacob was son of Jacob (1720-1792) and Sarah Balt (c1730-c1800). Born in Tulpehocken Settlement, Berks Co, PA. Jacob (1720-1792) was born in one of the independent German states. Came to PA Colony with parents in 1732. In Colonial military service during King George's War (1746/7). First to change family name to Bordner. Son of Balthasar Bortner and Maria Elisabetha ____.
