    3. In seeing the queries on an individual who served with Lancaster County, Militia, I am curious as to what sources are available to find any further information on what the activity of that unit was.The information on my g-g-g-grandfather, John Balsley/Baltzli was passed on to me. Militia References found for John Balsley: In 1778, John "Baltzley" is listed as being in Capt. Henry Sheffer's 8th Company of the Lancaster County Pennsylvania Militia. His township of residence is listed as Heidelberg. Source-- Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission. The 1780-1783 period-- John is listed in 1781 as serving in Capt. John Moore's 5th Company, 2nd. Battalion of Lancaster Co. PA. Militia. In 1872 he is listed in 3rd. Battalion of 5th Company. In 1783, John Balsley is listed as being in Captain John Stone's Company of the Lancaster Co. PA. Militia. Township of residence: Lebanon. Documented in Pennsylvania Archives records. How can I find out more about any of this? Would greatly appreciate any direction! Karen Klaene <benklaene@compuserve.com> Cincinnati,OH
