I have hesitated to send this to the list but lately some of the postings have made me think I should. Please don't restrict yourself just to the churches and the records of those churches in the vicinity of where your ancestors lived. Ministers years ago served multiple churches in various locations. I have found records miles from where my ancestors lived. Determine what minister/s might have served a congregation and what other locations they might have served, check for sister churches, etc. And just because a record is found at that location does not mean the event took place there - marriages, baptisms, deaths - but only recorded there.
