I think I am related through this same Mease line. I have some notes done a long time ago that mention the Indian attack and also something about a Mease/Miess that was part of George Washington's group and his job was to keep the campfires burning when Washington crossed the Delaware so the Hessians would think he was still in camp, etc. Beverly Walmer Wyld
