    2. Lisa and Donna, Continuing in the same vein...I wish everyone who transcribed old documents took as much care as the LDS. In going through my FTM CDs and numerous books I have found family under some of the most bizarre spellings. Annastatia Earlougher became Eustatia Erlocker. I have learned to come up with some creative spellings when looking folks up! In my area (AZ) two separate people review the film and fill out a card for each entry. This card is then passed to a different person who reviews the same film, comparing the film and card filled out by Person #1. If there are discrepancies, the two people meet and review it together. I know this process is very painstaking, and takes a lot of time to accomplish. Furthermore, old English script and alphabet tables are used to compare handwriting etc. My own opinion is that these records are accurate, but as with anything there could be little discrepancies. Hope this answers your questions! Have a great weekend! ~~Lisa, in AZ >>
