    3. In response to John Light's request regarding the location of the "Groh Farm" near Halfway: I checked my copy of the 1875 Atlas of Lebanon County, page 34, Jackson Twp. and found: 1. the farm of "L. Groh" on the north side of the Prescott - Myerstown Road at the very edge of Jackson Twp near the South Lebanon Twp. Line - 1 to 2 miles east of Prescott. The road parallels (more or less) the railroad line about a quarter mile south of it. The Groh farm lies between the railroad and the road about a mile southwest of the Tulpehocken Manor. 2. There is also a house labeled "C. Groh" on the north side of the main road from Lebanon into Myerstown at the eastern edge of West Myerstown. It must be about where the present day 422 by-pass around the north side of Myerstown takes off to the left. John, If you will send me your snail mail address, and assure me you will not use it for a profit making activity, I will send you a photocopy of the vicinity. Paul Prof. Paul F. To those of you who actually lived there -- do you recall any of the farms/farm houses known as the old "Groh Farm"? I found it interesting that two of you remarked on Halfway's close (walking distance) proximity to Tulpehocken Manor/Plantation. My grandmother born there married my grandfather born at the "Groh" farm and that's the property I am seeking to identify. Thanks again. - JL ==== PALEBANO Mailing List ==== To contact the owner of the PALEBANO Mailing List, please contact: ltmiller@mail.ptd.net
