    3. Good day, Thank you for your reply. The 1920 census for Samuel Henry is indeed mine. My Samuel was born in Armagh Township, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania. He also married here. I have proof of all that . I just am trying to gather his obit to get proof of death date as well as children/childrens names. 1. Pierre/Peter Triest, c. 1778
    2. William Triest
    3. I am looking for information on South Lebanon in the period of 1777-1830 or so. Specifically, I am tracking Pierre (aka Peter) Triest (also spelled Treist in records) who may have settled in the Lebanon area circa 1778 or later. I can place him in the PA militia in 1777, and believe he may be the grandfather of Samuel (b. 1813) and George (b. 1806), both farmers in South Lebanon in the 1850 census. Can anyone suggest where to look, or have information already? I know he was born in Flanders in 1751; was in London 1766; got into trouble and was transported to Maryland; enlisted in the Corps of the Count von Ottendorff, later Armand's Partisans, 1777 (a fascinating unit that used their language skills to infiltrate British lines by impersonating Hessians). Am now trying to link him to the Triests of Lebanon Co. He may have gone there as a guard for Hessian POWs or at the end of his enlistment. 1. Willoughby Henry
    2. DOROTHY MICHAEL
    3. Bea, Hello again. I went through Ancestry.com and found some things that I don't know if you have, but here goes... 1) World War I draft registration card: Willoughby Andrew HENRY born 24 April 1878 Residence: Mount Gretna, Lebanon County, PA. Occupation: Wood Chopper. Next of kin: Samuel Henry. There was a notation stating: "Weak breast" whatever that means... 2) 1880 Census: In Armagh Township, Mifflin County: Samuel HENRY 30 years old, Emma, 24 years old, Charly 5 years old and "Wilbur" 2 years old. This might actually be your Willoughby - Considering how some census takers recorded names at times, this may be something to investigate... 3) 1920 Census: South Londonderry, Lebanon County: Samuel HENRY 71 years - hotel caretaker, Emma 65 years; Willoughby 41 - laborer at ice plant. 4) 1930 Census: In Conestoga, Lancaster County: Susan HENRY 86 years (head of household); Emma HENRY 75 years old - sister-in-law. * Maybe Samuel died between 1920 and 1930 and Emma moved in with his sister - again, something to look into, as the age is correct for Emma. 5) As I said, there are other HENRYs in Lehigh County and I wouldn't be surprised if they are all related. I don't suppose that Willoughby as a first name was all that common: a) 1860 Census: In South Whitehall, Lehigh County: Willoughby HENRY 17 years - farm hand living with SIEGER family and other. b) 1870 Census: In South Whitehall: Willoughby 27 years, Catherine 28 years (born in England) and 3 year old daughter (couldn't read the name) c) 1870 Census: In Emmaus, Upper Saucon Township, Lehigh County: Willoughby HENRY, 4 months old living with John NATING 30 years, Lydia RIFFLE 40 years and C______ Rudolph 17 years - servant. d) 1880 Census: In Allentown: Willoughby E. HENRY 3 years old; father Uriah S. 57 years, mother Rebecca J. 36 years; Clara E. 8 years, Cora A. 6 years, Ida M. 6 years, Effie 3 months. e) 1880 Census: In Hanover, Lehigh County: Willoughby HENRY 38 years, Engineer, Catherine 37 years, Ellen Jane 7 years. f) 1900 Census: In Hanover: Willoughby E. HENRY 58 years, born January 1842, train engineer; Catherine 57 years (they had been married for 36 years at this time), born October 1842; living with ____FRICK 19 years, born May 1881 - niece; Henry KURTZ, 30, born January 1870, iron molder - son-in-law; Ellen J., 27, born August 1872; Laura E., born July 1891; Willoughby E. H. 6 years old, born April 1894. g) 1910 Census: 3rd Ward, Catasauqua Boro, Lehigh County: Willoughby HENRY 68 years, Catherine E. HENRY 40 years ; Harvey C. KURTZ 40, son-in-law; Ellen J. 27, Laura E. 18 - works in silk mill; Willoughby E. H. KURTZ 16 years. h) 1920 Census: In Whitehall, Catasauqua Boro, Lehigh County: Willoughby HENRY 77, father-in-law; Harvey KURTZ 49, Ellen KURTZ 47, Laura KURTZ 28. Willoughby KURTZ 25 years. i) 1930 Census: In Whitehall, Catasauqua, Lehigh: Harvey C. KURTZ 60, Ellen J. KURTZ 57, Laura E. KURTZ 38, Willoughby E. HENRY 88 years. Well, happy hunting! 1. Liebrich/Leebrick
    2. DAVID LEEBRICK
    3. My Liebrich/Leebrick connections all begin in Lancaster county in 1754, with the family's arrival from Germany in September of that year. The first few years were spent in Lancaster, but when Baron Stiegel's glass factory opened up in Manheim, the family moved up there for support. Wives and in-laws of that first Liebrich generation are Franks, Cassel, Peters, Mohr, Swentzell, Urban (Erben) and Eberle. I've been able to trace the Liebrichs back several hundred years in Germany, and I'd like to fill in some gaps that still exist. The Peters family was from Lebanon county. Other connections I have are with Lebanon county connections are Berry, Leidig, Carmony, Early, Ebersole, Rodenburg and Stroh. I'd be happy to share info with any one with information on these Lebanon county lines. Dave Leebrick Farm Kid at Heart

    1. Miller
    2. Don't all scream at once. I know there are a lot of Miller families in Lebanon Co. But I am looking for just one Miller person. Her name was Eva R. Miller. On 21 Oct 1883 she married a John Yocum of Elizabethtown, Lancaster Co. They were married in a parsonage. I suspect it was the parsonage of Salem Lutheran Church. They had a daughter who was named Mamie Rebecca Yocum. She was born on 8 Oct 1883 and baptized on 12 Oct 1884. Her sponsors were her parents and Mary Jane Miller. The part of the story that has me stumped is how were Eva and Mary Jane related? I suspect that Eva was a niece of Samuel Miller, Mary Jane's husband, but I can't prove it. When Mamie grew up, she married Clarence Sparrow. They lived in Allentown, Pa. Is there any help out there for me? Thanks to anyone who can shed a little light on my problem Anna in AZ.

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: FISHER/FISCHER Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/jdB.2ACI/546 Message Board Post: I am searching for parents of William FISHER b. 28 Mar 1801 in Myerstown, then Dauphin County. William married Elizabeth SHAEFFER in 1822, daughter of Jacob SHAEFFER. This SHAEFFER family had been located in Berks County well before the marriage of William & Elizabeth, so it is likely that he had left the Myerstown area before 1822. William was known to later generations as "The Englishman" and this has led recent generations to believe that he was of English origins but I am sceptical of this. Can anyone offer a candidate family in this time frame? Many thanks!!

If you cannot send mail from your old address, or you are having difficulties unsubscribing, please contact your mailing list administrator(s) and request the old address be manually unsubscribed. It will be helpful if you include the format you are receiving your mailings (individual posts, or digest format), and any alias or former addresses you may be subscribed under. 1. In need of help !
    2. STANLEY RUTHERFORD
    3. Good Day, I am in search of a little help on my family. Today I found Samuel Henry and wife Emma living in Lebanon, Lebanon County, PA. They were both listed in the 1920 census. They were in the South Londonderry Township, Lebanon County , PA. He was 71 years old. Could not find him in 1930. So, I am guessing that at that age he must of died bewtween the 1920 - 1930 census.. I am in search of a copy of his obit.. Would GREATLY appreciate it! Samuel had a daughter Rebecca J. Henry who married a Harry Stonebreaker. They were living in Lebanon County as well. Rebecca and Harry were I gather via census divorced by the 1930 census. BUT, they had four children as follows: Randall Stonbreaker....Grace M. Stonebreaker....Genevive Stonebreaker and Helen M. Stonebreaker. Helen M. Stonebreaker married Michael Smith. Helen and Michael had one child per 1930 census ...Janice Smith. They may have had more but as you know all we can get is up to the 1930 census ! Does any of the above sound at all familier to anyone? Please do help me aquire Samuel's obit. I would like to send for hid death certificate. Any help with this family and or obits would be GREATLY appreciated ! Oh, does anyone know of any sites that have marriages..deaths...obits....anything for Lebanon County listed ? Kindly Bea beair@verizon.net

    1. Triest Treist family
    2. William Triest
    3. I am looking for information on two residents of South Lebanon in the 1850 census: Samuel Treist (Triest), born 1814, PA and George Treist (Triest), born 1807. 1. They appear to be brothers, but can this be confirmed? 2. Who were their parents, and where were they from? 3. Can earlier Treists or Triests be identified? 4. Is there a link to the Pierre or Peter Triest in the PA militia, 1777? Or to the Peter Triest in Maryland c. 1768, or the Peter Triest in Albany, 1810? 5. Can the origin of the family be determined? I have the impression that until the late 19th century, they did not use English as their primary language at home. I would enjoy hearing from others researching the Triest family of Lebanon PA. We are a rare species! Bill Triest __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com
