I am currently working on a Supplemental to my original DAR application, namely for my Revolutionary War Patriot, Johannes Beshore, b. 1732 Lancaster Co., who m. Anna Maria Lang and is bur. Jamestown, Lebanon County. My line descends from their dau, Julianna who m. Ludwig Zehring. According to a DAR record copy, Johannes was associated with the German Reformed Church in Jonestown. In Elizabeth's post of 7/13, she mentions her Bashore ancestors as being connected to the German Baptist Bretheran. Are these two churches one in the same by any chance? As a new member of the list, I will be happy to do Lookups on the online DAR Patriot Index as my time permits. If your ancestor is listed, you can then order the most recent copy of their service record on file at NSDAR headquarters ($10.00), which offers valuable information ie: documented resources, description of their service, spouses and marriage dates of children, etc. To do a Lookup for you, I would need the name and dob of your Patriot and spouse's name, if known. Additionally, I would welcome exchanging data with others who may be researching the Bashore, Lang, and Zehring/Zaring lines. Marcia

The only info I have is his name was John Heverling b. 24 Aug/Sept 1877 in Hungary and died in 1925 in Lebanon PA. His wife was Eva Heverling (could possibly be listed as Heberling)
Elizabeth Noticing your Bashore Boshore connection I checked my Bashore family book. I found Catherine Bashore married to Jacob Wolfe mar. 6, 1796. It lists his parents as George Wendell and Elisabeth Reid Wolf, any possibillity you are missing a generation? It seems this John Jacob Wolf and Catherine Bashore Wolf are to old to have Jacob born in 1823. Just asking don't mean to imply wrong information. Also the Bashore family is connected to the German Baptist Brethren and many of my Wolf family are also part of this German Baptist Brethren so they may be related as they are also from the same general area. Sandy

I could not find anything by Dennis Ward about the surname WOLF/WOLFE, and some of my own old posts no longer come up in a search either. I guess finding that old info about Jacob and Amos being brothers is impossible now. :-( The info I have says they had different parents, but, their grandparents names are the same and I can't help thinking they do connect somewhere. Hope we can all keep working and sharing on these families. Elizabeth
