    2. lebanon, annville, palmyra, hershey are all in a straight shot from each other. to go from hershey to lebanon does not take all that long. there are various places to stay all along that stretch - probably covers many price ranges. during the summer months it can get hectic staying anywhere in the area because of the attraction to hershey - park, chocolate world, etc. and the close proximity to lancaster and the pa. dutch country. there are also several b&b's in the area. beverly walmer wyld

    3. Lynn, I have done research on the Berry Line and have some info on Amos Lear. I have his father as Jacob Lear and mother as Sarah M. Kreider. I believe this info either came from the 1880 census or from research on the Krieder line. At this time I can't put my finger on the exact reference, but it probably was one of those two. Try the Dauphlin county 1880 census. Additionally I have info from the 1900 and 1920 census athat stae they had 13 children, but I only have the names of 10. In 1900 the census says he was a provider of provisions and in 1920 he was a horse trader. I would be very interested in any other info that you have regarding this family, so that I would be able to develop that line of John A. Berry more completely. Also I am always looking for info on any of the Berry lines and sublines, especially interested in the Forney line at this particular time. Hope this info helps. Jolynn S. Kuhlman

    3. Jean, I have a family history entitled THE BORDNER AND BURTNER FAMILIES AND THEIR BORTNER ANCESTOS IN AMERICA by Howard W Bordner, 1967, Washington DC. It appears to be self-published. I found your Barbara who was the granddaughter of Jacob Bortner and Sarah Balt. Here is the e-mail for Donna Mohney - dmohney@westol.com - who is also a direct descendant of Jacob and Sarah! This book goes back as far as the immigrant, Balthaser Bortner, who arrived in Philadelphia in 1732 on the ship Adventure. I have the passenger list. 2. Dennis & Pat Carroll
    3. Hi, I am new to the list. I am looking for info about the Albright and Schook families in Northern Lebanon Co. The Albrights emigrated from Durrmenz, Wurttemberg, Germany. My GGG uncle, Johann Gottfried Albright, b. 4 Aug 1804, d. Mar 1882, immigrated to East Hanover Twp before 1847. My GG grandfather, Johann Martin Albright, b. 12 Dec 1821, d. 11 May 1904, immigrated to East Hanover Twp June 1847. I have extensive info about the Albrecht (Albright) family in Durrmenz, but am looking for information about other Albright family members in USA. I believe most of the early immigrants settled in the Berks/Lebanon/Dauphin area. Martin married Sarah Shook. Her father, Henry Shook, b. 12 Aug 1785. d. 13 Aug 1833, lived in East Hanover Twp. I would appreciate any info about the Shooks in this area. I'm also interested in the early history of Northern Lebanon Co., particularly East Hanover Twp. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
