I noticed that name while doing the Lebanon obits and don't know if this is a link to you or not. Robert H. Batdorf, 67, of Myerstown, died Mnday, March 2, 1998. Born Dec. 31, 1932 in Bethel Township, he was the son of the late Samuel and Lillian Donough Batdorf. Survivor list includes brother, sisters. He may be a decendant of the person you're looking for. His parents apparently lived in Bethel Township (presently in Berks County but joins Lebanon County). Hope this helps. ----- Original Message ----- From: m thompson <fitnesspro@juno.com> To: <PALEBANO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, April 11, 1999 3:01 PM Subject: [PALEBANO-L] seeking death rec PA 1800's > I am seeking the death record of: > (Maria/Mary) Catherine (Steiner/Stein) BATDORF > She was a Lutheran & died between 1830 and 1850 in PA > (Probably central PA, possible near Northern Dauphin Co, PA) > BATDORF is also spelled BADDORF, BATTORF, BUTTORF, > PUTTORF, POTTORF, BADRUFF, BATRUFF, ETC > Thanks, Marc > > ___________________________________________________________________ > You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. > Get completely free e-mail from Juno at http://www.juno.com/getjuno.html > or call Juno at (800) 654-JUNO [654-5866] > > > ==== PALEBANO Mailing List ==== > For a great list of most of the on-line mailing lists (and ability to subscribe to them) check out John Fuller's Internet Resources web page: > <http://members.aol.com/johnf14246/internet.html> >

My records show that Justina arrived in America in 1743 and a Joh. Valentine is listed on a ship arriving in 1749. This may or may not be my Valentine. They lived in N. Annville Twp, Lebanon Co. Pa., had 9 children and were buried at the Hill Lutheran Church cemetery. We may still have common ancestors. I have not worked on the Keller line for quite a few years. The following was recently posted to the Lebanon County GenWeb Query page. I have just subscribed to this list and would appreciate any help. I am looking for records to confirm that Henry Minnick/Minnich/Muench was b. 1 Feb 1773 in Schaefferstown, PA. Several sources mention the Heidelberg Church, in Schaefferstown as the source possibly from Christening records. His parents are said to be Henry Minnich and Catherine Reid. Can anyone suggest a way to find these church records? -- David L. Hanna Georgetown, Texas dlhanna@texas.net
I think this is for Joan. or someone else. I've been exploring the Mormon site and found scads of Fellenbaum's. First tried Rebecca and found her and James K. Shay, later tried just Fellenbaum and got lots of stuff. its at http://www.familysearch.org and been finding lots of "cousins" - even David Shuey' parents I think, which I understand was the 1st link beyond him that I've heard of, and a number of other "cousins." Hope you will find this helpful if you haven't found the site yet. Earl earl@shay.net
I am searching for information on Lydia Ellenberger (1833-1896), married to John Jacob Keller (1831-1866). Both are buried at the Hill Church cemetery. According to the 1850 census, Lydia, age 16, was living in North Annville Township, Lebanon County, with a Gingrich family. Living in the household were Christian Gingrich 49, Catherine Gingrich 48, Joseph Gingrich 23, Nancy Kauffman 25, and Lydia. Can anyone provide further information on parents, siblings, etc. Bill Matz domatz@aol.com

Bret, This no doubt refers to the Quittopehille (Hill) Church in Lebanon County. My ancestors, the SCHALLYs, worshipped there. It is both a Lutheran and Reformed church and records date back into the mid-1700s. Justin
