Daniel U. Walmer (more than likely the U. is for Urich, mother's maiden name - brother did the same thing) died 1906. He was married to Ella Desh (Feb. 1855/1912). Both Daniel and Ella are buried at Zion's Cemetery East Hanover Twp. Lebanon Co. Pa. 1900 Census/Soundex Lebanon Co. Pa. #809 Walnut St. Lebanon Walmer, Daniel born Dec 1848 Ella D. born Feb 1855 Bessie D. born Dec 1882 Daniel U. (but later I find C.) born Aug 1884 Bertin born Sept 1887 Norman born Aug 1895 Everyone born in Pennsylvania 1910 Census/Soundex Pennsylvania Lebanon Co. Daniel is deceased by this time and Bessie is no longer listed but Ella, Daniel, Bertram and Norman are. Bessie is to have married a Culbertson. Daniel Charles Walmer married Ruth Yeager (her father was Charles Yeager) and they had two children: Daniel Charles Walmer Jr. and Norman Burton Walmer. I have a birth date for Daniel Charles Jr. 20 June 1930 and a death date for Norman Burton Nov. 1932. This family lived in Lebanon. Daniel Charles Walmer and wife Ruth nee Yeager are also buried at Zions Cemetery, East Hanover Twp. Lebanon Co. Pa. Bertram Desh Walmer was born 3 Sept 1889 according to a WWI Registration Index that I found on the internet. Norman Walmer possibly lived in DePere, Wisconsin. Hello, I am very interested in any info on Hauser's. I am at a dead end with my ggrandmother Anna Marie Hauser b.11-7-1862 in Germany I guess that is where she was born, not sure d.9-22-1886 in Ohio. I was given copies of some notes done back in the forties. Miess/Mease is part of my maternal line. Has any person working on this family heard the story of a Miess that was part of Washington's army and his job was to keep the fires burning the night Washington crossed the Delaware so the Hessians would not know the army had left the camp? I am trying to find information about my Grandmother - Alice Mark Bomberger. She was married to John H. Bomberger, who was born in 1871, died on July 24, 1935. He was a blacksmith in Avon for years and finished his career working for the Bethlehem Steel Company. He and my Grandmother lived at 18 North Fifth Street in Lebanon. I think she was born on December 1,1870 (I am not sure). I know that she died in Lebanon in 1952. She and my Grandfather were members of the St. James Lutheran Church where he was a member of the church council. Their children were John Mark Bomberger, Ruth Elizabeth Bomberger Russell, born September 17, 1896, and Wilmer. It is possible (again not sure) that her father and mother were Henry T. Mark and Eliza Borger. This guess is predicated on a listing for Alice Mark that appears on the new Website sponsored by the Latter Day Saints. I'm also following this thread with some interest. My daughter's ex-husband was a Kohr from Lebanon, and my two grandson's are, of course, Kohr's. I'm noting the info in case there's a link to their father Scott who was born and bred in Lebanon. Charles Shade son Christian Shade Johan Michael Kohr Elizabeth Shouffler 1782-1872 I am a descendant of Col. Valentine Shouffler and his first wife Catharine Heyl of Jonestown through their daughter Eve Shouffler Gensler. Most of Col. Shouffler's career is well documented but his linage information seems to be limited to what was published in Egle's History of the Counties of Dauphin and Lebanon in 1883. I would guess most of that came from the memory of his daughter Elizabeth Shouffler Kohr. Little or nothing appears to be known about Catharine Heyl. Col. Shouffler's will mentions his daughter Elizabeth Shouffler (1782-1872) and her husband Michael Kohr. Both stayed in Lebanon County. The will mentions his grandson Charles Shade, executor of the will and his son Christian Shade. I have no data on the Shade family and little on the Michael and Elizabeth Kohr. I was hoping that someone could help me with a bit of information on them or even Catharine Heyl, which would be a major find. My thinking is that with some more data of the family that stayed in Lebanon County I could thrash around and perhaps uncover more on both Catharine's and Valentine's ancestors. Thanks rlh Robert L.
