    2. Daniel Lee Wenger
    3. Hi Jane I have been working on a family of mine in East Hanover Twp. Lebaonon Co., and East Hanover Twp., Dauphin Co. I find that there was a large United Brethren influence in this area and United Brethren information is hard to come by. The Religious Telescope is on film at Lebanon Valley College but the college is no longer United Brethren related. The United Brethren data has been sent to Drew University in NJ near Madison. If you think that there might be a United Brethren connection then that might be a place to start. I was at Lebanon Valley College last week and found the two obits for my gggrandparents. I learned something that I had never known before. Elias Wenger of Washington Twp. Darke Co. OH died from injuries he received while taking a load of hay to market. With all of the years of the Elias Wenger reunions in Darke Co., this information was never passed on. 1. [PALEBANO-L] Geocities websites hijacked
    2. Mary
    3. Does anyone on these groups have a site on Geocities? I've had a site there for the last three years and just found out via ZDNET News that with the takeover by Yahoo, all of the material on my site now belongs to Yahoo-Geocities -- EVEN if I remove all of the files. They retain full and exclusive rights to the content now and in the future. Also found out that I cannot cancel or delete my old geocities account without signing up with the new Yahoo account and giving them those rights to my files!!! I'm glad my genealogy site is not with geocities, just a personal homepage that I did on family, home, children, my interests, etc... But if any of you have a site there, and it is genealogy related, you have just given them exclusive rights to all of the content .. to resell, redistribute, and use... and there's not a darn thing you can do about it. Except maybe join the boycott and add your link (not geocities link) to the growing list of sites protesting this new Term of Service by Yahoo. Just thought I'd let you guys know about this. Mary

    3. Hi (and HELP!), I am still trying to get information on MATHIAS HENNING who has been found in the Jonestown area (East Hanover Twp.) of Lebanon Co., PA (earlier in Lancaster Co.) in the references below. I am interested in knowing more about Mathias himself, his children, or any siblings or descendents he might have had. Please notice related names in this post [SCHERBLIN/SCHAUBLIN, NEFF, SEBOLT, WOLFERSBERGER, GLONINGER, STONE, MEILY, LOESCH/LESH] and if you have info about them that might tie to Mathias, please let me know. Mathias's father was John Jacob Henning, d. 1769; mother Elizabeth, d. 1755-1759 (2nd wife of Jacob: Anna Maria (Mary) Loesch/Lesh). John Jacob's father was probably Thomas HENNING/HONING, d. 1749 in Lancaster Co. (wife Barbara). Lieutenant--Abraham STONE I have not been able to find Ensign--Martin MEILY indication of a pension.) If anyone has ANY information on the above, I would really appreciate hearing from you. 1. [PALEBANO-L] Obit for Dr David C. Keller, d ca 1886?
    2. Janice A. Frank
    3. Hi all, David C. Keller was a physician, born about 1820, who practised for many years in Union Deposit, Dauphin County. His "place became vacant" in 1886, give or take a year. I don't know whether this is a euphemistic way of saying he died or whether he merely retired, but in either case it might have made the paper. Some paper. I am sending this to both the Dauphin and Lebanon lists because while he is said to have been born in Dauphin (not confirmed), some of the family were also in Lebanon. If anyone has access to obits from that time and place I would be very grateful for a lookup and would be happy to pay for copying, postage etc. TIA, Jan

    1. Re: [PALEBANO-L] Re: copy of will
    2. Helen, I spent time recently at the Court House - you go to the Orphan's Court Office. This is where all the original Wills, and the Index books to them are located. The books are very large - you pick the one for your letter of the alphabet - and go through in from beginning to end. I was able to work with an original will from the very early 1800's. More recent info is microfilmed. Good Luck!
