    3. I also have been looking for the parents of Jacob Fessler my gggrandfather from Lebanon, Pa. He had a wife Sara Smaltz. Their daughter was a Catherine Arebella Fessler married to George Mifflin Rhodes of Reading, Pa. I just found the parents, Jacob and Sara and sent for the IGI records in Utah to get the info with all their children. Now I want to try to find their parents. Do you have their marriage date Etc? Let me know what you have and I'll try to help you. I have to go out now so I'll write later tonight. Thank you in advance. 3. I am researching the FESSLER's from Lebanon county, PA to Virginia and then to Indiana in 1836 and on into Iowa so if you think we may be searching the same line I would like to share information. I have the book :"Pennsylvania German Marriages" (Marriages and Marriage evidence in Pennsylvania German Churches) compiled by Donna R. Irish; published in Baltimore by Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc. 1982. The records cover eastern Pennsylvania from Philadelphia west to Cumberland county during a time period 1710 to 1895 although the majority of the entries fall between 1760 and 1860. I checked this book and did not find George by any spelling. Hannah is not there either. All the entries for Fesler are listed with the double s. The only Ressley's listed were Salome and Susanna. Sorry I could not be of more help. Our Fessler was John George who left Pa about 1827, went to Virginia for a while with his family. He had children born in PA, VA and IA and died in Madison county, Indiana. Please keep in touch if you think we have a connection. Thanks. They had their first child around 1816. Wife's name was Hannah. According to family records her maiden name was Fesler. According to IGI records I found a Hannah Resley married to George Brucker in Lebanon Co. Any help with these puzzle pieces would be very much appreciated. Nola in Indiana

I am especially interested in finding more info on their son, George. He may be the ancestoral grandfather who is my "brickwall". Thanks, Nola in Indiana

    3. Hello to Ann & Harold Brightbill, If you haven't already checked, there is a Brightbill's Meeting House (no longer active) situated on RT. 322 in S. Annville Township of Lebanon Co. We Fees descendants were just there in May to locate our relatives in their cemetery. If you need the list of gravesites you can find them at our website: www.fies-fees.org under cemetery listings. Their grounds are kept very neatly by a business in back of the Meeting House. Good Luck with your research. 2. oh, I am sure you know all about spelling variations -- on the other hand, the Brechbiels/Brackbills/Brechtbills/Brightbells had been in North America for 150 years by then, and your line may have settled on a spelling... I think Juniata has a Henry B who served in the British forces at the 'taking of Havana' and lived into the 19th century to the age of 100 or so. Wish someone would get that line squared away so I could get the line for my gggrandfather McMeen's first wife. paul in buffalo
