1. [PALEBANO-L] DEITER Family
2. I am trying to find anyone with information on the family of Elsworth DEITER [b. Dec 1870] and his wife, Nellie. Up until about the time of World War I, the family lived in the area of Tremont in Schuylkill County. One of their sons was named Amos E. DEITER. He died in France during WWI and was married to Lottie Mabel SHADLE of Good Spring in Schuylkill County. Lottie was my paternal grandmother thru her second marriage, and I would like to get in touch with a direct descendant of the DEITER family. Bill Hughes kinseeker4@juno.com

1. [PALEBANO-L] "FETTER"/ATLANTIC CITY HOTELS
2. Hi, I am looking for any information on the following to help me with my FETTER research. John Sheridan FETTER, 1865-1946 and his wife Amanda Mitilda MILLER, 1868-1933 were born in Schaefferstown, Lebanon County, PA. In 1924 John and Amanda went to Atlantic City, New Jersey and resided at South Morris Avenue. They owned and operated the following hotels: 1. The Jefferson 2. The Monticella 3. The Devonshire 4. The Boscobel 5. The Madison The Madison still is there today and it is on Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd. (Illinois Avenue) under the same name. At some point of time the Monticello became a shared ownership under the name of Fetter & Hollinger. If anyone is researching this FETTER family or has any information on the above Hotels, please email me at LKaz@aol.com Thank You, Lisa

This site lists the wife of John Light (our John Light I, called the Immigrant by Rev. Francis) as being "Mary GREIDER (AFN:8XS0-SS) Born: 1699 Place: , , Switzerland Died: 12 Nov 1758 Place: Lebanon, Lebanon, Pennsylvania Married: Abt 1720 Place: , , Switzerland". I discovered this first in May on a visit to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, but I also found it on the Internet a short time later. The only question now is how reliable the sources of information are. I don't know how familiar you are with the Pennsylvania Dutch language. I grew up in a bilingual home. German names beginning with a K are always pronounced in PA Dutch as if they began with a G, so that Greider is the way Kreider was pronounced, and the two names are the same. I would be interested in hearing your opinion on the reliability of the LDS information. Regards, Leroy Miller

2. Have you check the LDS site go there and type in just her name and look around there were quite a few listed in PA and then go back and type in just his name you did give any info for his birth so I don't know but there were some of them as well. I tried typing in both of them and had no luck Good Luck with your search. Deborah L. (McClelland) King FamilySearch Internet Genealogy Service

1. [PALEBANO-L] Re: LORENTZ/LAWRENCE/RAUSCH
2. I am seeking the death and burial location of my great-grandmother, Catherine RAUSCH LORENTZ. She was b. ca 1835 in Berks Co PA. Her husband was Joseph LORENTZ. At some point in time they moved to Auburn in Schuylkill Co. She may have died between 1885 and 1889. There is a possibility that instead of dying, they could have divorced and she may have remarried since I haven't been able to find evidence of her death and burial. She could also have gone back to Berks Co. Joseph LORENTZ moved to Lebanon Co and remarried. Since I don't know exactly when he moved to Lebanon Co, she could have died there. He is buried at Cornwall Methodist church with his 2nd wife, Sarah ZIMMERMAN. Doris Matz See our other surnames at: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Oaks/8067/ I would appreciate any help in this.
