Natalie Thanks I would appreciate that. My ggrandmother was a Wartluft and I'm sure she belongs to to our family. My gggrandfather changed his name from Wartzenluft to Wartluft and so far every time I've found a Wartluft they were part of her family. Sandy
All I know is that the pictures belonged to my great-grandmother, Anna Mary KLINE Light. She was from Myerstown, PA. My ggmother died in 1994, and the pictures came in a large box to my grandmother, her daughter, Erda LIGHT Banks. My grandmother knows nothing about these pictures, except that they were friends of her mother, my great-grandmother. We only know the names of them b/c my great-grandmother wrote the names on the cover of each of the photographs. The picture is of a woman standing amidst flowers. She is holding what looks like a rolled up diploma. She is dressed in plain clothes, like the Mennonite or Amish would wear. But I know Amish don't have pictures taken. Mennonites I don't know about. The name Elva Wartluft is written on the picture, as well as on the cover of the picture. The name of the photographer is on the bottom. It says: Bussa 332 DeKalb St. Norristown, PA Let me hook up my scanner, and I can send the picture to you. Natalie J. Seiwell

Justin, I'd appreciate if you would check for Jothin MEASE/MEESE or Elizabeth BREOMES? Thanks in advance. Violet Mullins
I'm interested in the Wartluft name I saw listed. Thanks Sandy
Ernie, Unfortunately the records end in 1840 that I have. There are no Lebos in the book. Quite a few NOLLs, but unfortunately I don't know which is your line. If these people died in PA after 1906, you can get a death certificate which should name parents. Justin
Does anyone know if the "map" or "plot plan" exists anywhere for this cemetery? I have quite a few ancestors buried there, and cannot find stones for several. Some are children, who died at birth, or infancy - assuming the funds wern't there to buy a stone. Thanks, Lynn Lear/Berry/Reedy/Eisenhauer
Thanks for the correction Charles. I was going off the top of my head when I said Myerstown. I was all over Lebanon Co. in the past two months...I was in North Lebanon & Myerstown in the same day and they are so close together. Natalie

Can anyone help me with information about a birck Union Church that once stood in Swatara Township. It was built about 1860 at the foot of "Little Mountain," at Mountain Rd. and Warners Rd / Spooky Hollow Rd, a short distance from the Bethel Moravian log church. Today, there is no trace of a structure ever bring there. What was the name of the church, what congregations met there, and what was the fate of the building? Thank you, Al Kohr rssawk@rohmhaas.com

Yes, St. Gertrude's cemetery is administered by St. Gertrude's Roman Catholic Church. However, the church changed its name a few years ago and, if I recall correctly, is now known as St. Cecelia's. >From where in Hungary did you family come from? Mine came from the Batschka region -- towns of Bezdan and SzentIvan. They are "Germans from Hungary" who are also known as Danube Swabians and came over at the early part of the 20th century. Is anyone doing research on the Miller family from Schaefferstown, Lebanon county? I am looking for a Miller-Christ connection. I was at the cemetery today to see if I could find some clues on my brick wall, William Christ. William Christ, 7/25/1801-4/15/1879, is buried next to a John Seiders, husband of Prudenc Seiders, 11/3/1808-6/17/1879; Prudence Seiders, wife of John Seiders, 2/12/1806-10/6/1877. William Christ's wife's name has been reported to be Anna, according to a History on the town of Schaefferstown. The tombstone is gone so I can't find dates for her. I have found out from Vital Records and children's baptisms that her name was Anna Miller. There were Miller people buried close to William Christ's tombstone, so I assume that they would be relatives of Anna. They are Heinrich Miller, 8/3/1776-2/1856 and Susanna 1778-1851; Georg Miller, 1774-1839 and wife Catarina 11/1781-1829. There were also other Miller's close by. Does anyone have a Miller-Christ connection? I would be most grateful to find the info to connect these two families. Thanks, Brenda

Hi folks, Does anyone have the records of St. Jacob's (Kimmerling) Reformed church? I am interested in any THOMAS family. I have a Gottfried THOMAS and am looking for any children (He had a daughter in 1794) or parents names. He had a brother named Christian. I understand St. Jacob's (Kimmerling) is just a few miles south of Klopp's church where his daughter was baptized. Thanks for any help Nan
