I've also been researching the Brightbill line. Elisabeth, daughter or John Adam Harper & Anna Catharina Bassler of East Hanover Twp, Lebanon Co (Harpers Tavern) m Henry Brightbill. Hi, I guess we should pool all our info on the Brechbiel family. Using the FTM site I found a Hans Nicholas Brechbiel b. 1733 who married Maria Julianna Dillar/Thaeler. They has sons Peter in 1760 and John in 1762, plus 10 more children. My Ann Margaretha was born in 1764 and named her first daughter, Julianna...strong suggestion that she may be the daughter of Hans Nicholas as well. Anybody else have info on this line? I borrowed the LDS film for Salem Lutheran Church in Lebanon Co. a few months ago. There were quite a few records with Brechbiel names. What is there is what they wanted known. I further believe that the person/people who actually wrote it were not real journalists and not as careful as one would like. I have the SHULTZ article from there and I have found to my cost that some of what it says is plain not true. This does not mean that none of it is true; some of it certainly is. It means keep your saltshaker handy, especially if you find that it disagrees with information from elsewhere. Jan
