    1. [PALEBANO] Descendants of Hans Brand(t) ca 1680-1723
    2. John Light-Monterey,CA
    3. I am working on Catharine Brandt b. 5 Sep 1770 d. 2 Oct 1851 m. Martin Light of Long Meadow (according to J. G. Francis). She certainly fits as a probable child of Christian and Catherine Brandt from Digest V #210 per Lin and Daniel's postings, and according to Harry C. Werner of Denver "A Study of the Brandt Family of Lebanon County Pennsylvania" on the descendants of Hans Brand(t), and I feel confident in his work: Werner sites will of Christian proven 6 May 1806: w. Catherine, sons Isaac (eldest), & Henry, daughters Anna, Mary, Barbara, Catherine, & Elizabeth; sister Catherine, father deceased, Exrs. son Isaac & sons-in-law Jacob Light and Martin Light; Witnesses Abraham Groh, Conrad Hoffman." Also sited is the will of Isaac recorded 13 Feb 1830 mentions wife Fronica; daughters Fronica and Elizabeth, m. Abraham Rowland; sons Isaac and Christian. Executors being son Christian and son-in-law Abraham Rowland. There is more detail on these families and the ancestry to Hans ca 1680. I do not believe there is further information on Isaac's descendants in this study, but there is on brother Henry's line, perhaps the author has more. Please include me in any Brandt information exchange. Particularly interested in whether the Brandts were Swiss (possibly?) and Mennonite (likely). The Werner study is on file at LebCHS abt 75 pages; I have some of the pages and an address for Werner (1994). JL

    1. [PALEBANO] Hoffman
    2. I just found the parents and christening date for a direct line ancestor from a wonderful person on another list. She suggested I join your list and ask about this family. I have a Catherine Eva Hoffman chr 25 Jun 1784 in Schaefferstown, Lebanon, PA. Her parents were George Hoffman and Elizabeth. She married George Overmyer (Overmier) on 30 Sep 1808 in Fairfield, Fairfield, CT. She died 21 Aug 1857 in Jackson Twp, Perry Co, Ohio. Does anyone have any information on this family? I would especially like to find out more about George and Elizabeth. This is the first time I have seen mention of Labanon Co, PA for any of my ancestors. Thanks, SandyW
