I see several Levering families in the 1790 census, including Christopher in Dauphin. It runs in my mind that this is a Philadelphia or Montgomery Co name very early. There's a business or something with that name - soap? Try Thomas book at local library. Hi Beverly - Thank you for your response - it sounds very interesting - I have seen the name spelled so many ways depending on the census taker - I do know that they were in Dauphin County - some in Heidelberg Twp but there has to be a connection someplace - at least I am hoping. I don't know where to start with the first names but if it is OK I will send you an e-mail to your address and maybe something will click - thank you - Anne
How about this name as Livering? This is a name I grew up hearing in East Hanover Twp. Dauphin County - the family I remember lived in the vicinity of Manada Gap - this is not all that far from East Hanover Twp. Lebanon Co. Beverly Wyld
Am looking for anyone who might be researching or know of the name Levering, Leveringhouse, Leaveringhouse - etc. they were all around Dauhpin, Lebanon and then Lancaster county in the late 1700's and early 1800's. I have been doing a lot of research and have not come across anyone who has heard of that name and there were quite a few of them - LOL> Thank you - AhliveOyl
Linnea, Thanks for the info on post-its on Rootsweb's SSDI. It should help some researchers to connect with each other. Do you know what specifically is included on the original applications for Social Security cards, which you can order from SSA? I've never seen one and wonder whether the $7 fee is worth it. Thanks in advance. John S. Davis johnda@megsinet.net

I so appreciate the generosity of time that several of you extended to me in answering my request for the 1830 census data. My internet server was having difficulties today and I could not respond until this evening. NOW, if ONLY one of you could find my Rudolph Behm's missing parents, siblings, and in-laws.!! What a happy old lady I would be. Bettye "Our ancestors are waiting to be found .....so DO IT".

Hi Jackie, The United Christian Church is right on rte 322 in Campbelltown. Take the Lancaster/Lebanon exit off of PA Turnpike & go towards Hershey. Guess it's about 5 miles to Campbelltown - it will be on your right after your 3rd traffic light from entering rte 322 [you should be in Campbelltown by then.] There is a KOA nearby in Hershey, off of rte 322 on Hersheypark Drive. [don't follow rte 322 "up" to the highway, go straight towards Hersheypark. KOA will be on your left shortly after you pass under the RR underpass. If you come after about Oct 16th it will be off-season, so the rates should be better. Avoid Oct 6 - 10th: that's Antique Auto Show & Hershey is a *mess*! There are also many motor inns in the area [Campbelltown, Palmyra, Hershey.] Can't help you with West Brunswick. -Linnea At 21:14 9/6/99, JYurchuck@aol.com wrote: >Could someone help with the directions to Zion Lutheran Church in West >Brunswick and United Brethern/Christian Church in Campbelltown. >Coming off interstates. >And knowledge of any good campgrounds close by. > >jackie > > >==== PALEBANO Mailing List ==== >If you have a personal web page, please share your URL with us!

Is there anyone that has the 1830 census for Dauphin and Lebanon COs PA? I need a listing for a Rudolph Behm Beam or Boehm. He would have been 32 yrs of age with a wife abt 22 and a dght age abt 1 yr and if the census was taken after Aug 15, 1830 he would have had an infant son. I am seeking to see where he was living in one of those counties and his occupation. Thanks, Bettye "Our ancestors are waiting to be found .....so DO IT".
Cocalico sure is a town and it is located about 5 miles from Schaefferstown, just inside Lancaster county on route PA 897, between Schaefferstown and Reinholds.
