Sandy, the cemetary was dug up and the bones placed into a vault. The church Sunday School wing was built over the grave yard. There is also a public school a few blocks away with the same scenerio. I believe the Lebanon County Historical Society has a list of the people buried in both places. Lee (Shaud/Shirk/Lesher)

All I have is a George and Elizabeth who had a daughter, Eva Catherine (Kitty) christened in Schaefferstown (now in Lebanon Co) in Jul 1784. My original info had her born in Berks co, Jun 1784. I have lots of info on Kitty after her marriage - she spent the rest of her life in Ohio. But whether George and Elizabeth moved to Ohio before her marriage, or if she met and married from PA I have no knowledge. George and Elizabeth are a recent find from a kind soul on this list, so it is all pretty new to me. I will save your reference to the Hoffman's who immigrated. Let's keep in touch. Sandy

Hi listers, My gr grandfather was John Royer, b: 1819 where in PA? m: elizabeth Tobias of NY when? They were listed in PA, Crawford Co., N. Shenango Twp. in the 1850 census with a daughter, Elizabeth, age 6 yrs., b: in Ohio. Their second child, Andrew, b: 1852 was listed with the family in the 1860 census of MI, Saginaw Co., Brady Twp. as born in Ohio in 1852. They did not list Elizabeth in 1860 or subsequent census'. Died young? I would like to find the anscestors of John Royer, a birth date and a wedding date. I have records of the family from 1860 forward and am willing to share with anyone interested. Hi Listers, I am brAnd new to this list, having recently discovered that my ggrandmother was born in Lebanon County. So, please excuse me if this has been discussed previously. I have uncovered information that my ADOLPH line were in Swatara Twp (Jonestown?) around the 1850s. My ggrandmother, Catherine FENSTERMACHER ADOLPH, and her brother Alfried were baptized at Zion Evangelical Church. I recently visited the graveyard in Jonestown (there was no one at the church), but didn't find many older stones. I have found a partial listing from the church online, but no ADOLPHs or FENSTERMACHERs were listed. My questions - is there an older cemetery for the church, since it was established in 1739 and are there any other records online for that time period - 1850s? Catherine's parents were George and Maria (Fenstermacher) ADOLPH. Is there anybody else out there searching these lines? I did find a 2 volume set on the Fenstermachers in the Bethlehem Public Library, but wasn't successful in finding Catherine. At some point they moved to Berks County because she died there in 1941. I am also on the Berks County list, and so far no one has claimed her as a relative. Many thanks for all your help or suggestions. I look forward to being on this list. Sandy in West Virginia
Greetings fellow genealogists. I have returned from my summer sojourn in PA where I engaged in my usual genealogical pursuits with, sad to say, diminishing success. I once more invite you to visit my website which contains much of the data I have found in more than 16 years of research. I am trying to upload everything I have. I am now researching 173 families. See my website for the names of most of them; read my books; explore my chronologies. I hope you will find them helpful. Just received this notice on another list I am on. These are scanned images - and *very* good copy, too! Make sure you visit Cornell U's "Making of America Collection" to view other journals & books they have put online. [Click the "All MOA Journals" link. This is *really* neat!! Is there an address where I can check surnames for Lebanon Co. and surronding area's? Also, are there any Zimmerman's in this area, connected to HOFFMAN'S? Harriet HOFFMAN Toothman
Someone told you that Jackson Township is in Dauphin County. There is, or was, also a Jackson Township in Lebanon County, near or part of Myerstown, PA. I know this because I grew up in Lebanon County and my Father lived in Jackson Township. I would check the Lebanon County Historical Society if you want more information. There are many people by the name of Zimmerman in Lebanon County, as there are in Dauphin, Lancaster, and the neighboring counties. Rob Weinhold Dale City, VA
Your right I was not sure what township that was Sorry about that and yes I knew Young Doc for he delivered me in Rexmont. Barbara Ebright
Well, I was born in 49 and Jr. delivered me and his father had already retired so I would say father was born around 1880 . Barbara Ebright
