At the start of the 1800's the Lutheran congregation shared their church building with the German Reformed congregation in what was called "Jerusalem Church. The two congregations went separate ways some time after the Civil War, and First Lutheran Church on East Main Street became the separate, Lutheran congregation. Later St. Paul's Lutheran Church was founded and spent most of her years in a building on North White Oak Street. Those two congregations merged into what is now St. Mark Lutheran Church on the site of former first Lutheran. Some folks with "Annville" identity might also have gone to Hill Lutheran Church, north of Cleona, which still exists. Another option: Christ Lutheran Church in Bellegrove is close enough to Annville to be identified with that town. Bellegrove is in North Annvile, but in much fo the 1800's it was simply Annville Twp.
