Jeanie, There are some Shays. Are you looking for anyone in particular? As an aside, the Lebanon County Historical Society has quite a bit of information on this family. One of my gr-gr-grandfather's sisters was married to Isaac Shay. Please feel free to contact me if you need additional info, the 1850 and 1930 census images require that a location be known, they require manual screening through all the images for the location. I purchased the CD from Heritage Books, Inc. and the title is "Lebanon Valley, Pennsylvania History & Genealogy" by Robert A. Heilman. As I recall, the price was reasonable. I have a copy of the will of John Shay from the Lebanon County Courthouse. The will was filed July 27, 1846. In the will, John speaks of his wife, Barbara, and his seven children. John was born about 1774 and Barbara was born about 1775. He speaks of his seven children and names all of them in his will. They are: Mary, William C., Sarah, John, Elizabeth, Samuel and Thomas. Thomas was born about 1795. If anyone would like a copy of this will then e-mail me directly. The Thomas C. Shay in my family tree was born in 1780. Perhaps he and John Shay were brothers. -------------- Original message -------------- > I have 2 Thomas Shay's. > > The first one is possibly the son of John Shay and > Maria Barbara Hollinger. I was going through some information I copied down several months ago, and found I had failed to note month, day and year. Is anyone with access to the Lebanon Valley Standard- I seem to recall some posts about that recently, -able to give me the date for the death of one Samuel LEEDOM, who died in Lebanon and was age 36 years, 2 months and 1 day. He was 33 in 1870, so apparently 3 years later, which would be 1873.
