1. [PALAWREN] New Lawrence County USGenWeb site
2. I want to invite each of you to come by and see the new USGenWeb site for Lawrence County.... www.rootsweb.com/~palawren We've started out with a few sections - biographies, family histories, obituaries, maps, histories, general Lawrence county info - many links to the GenConnect boards, and the 1887 and 1877 Lawrence County histories that Ed McClelland and Tami McConahy have been transcribing. In the Old photos section, we have 27 photos... Many baby pictures from the early 1900s, some local residents and places in Lawrence County. Start looking through your scrapbooks and albums, I know you'll want to have your ancestors and family represented in the Old photos section. And, we'd like to list your ancestors and family in the Cemetery section. Let's start building a listing for each of Lawrence County cemeteries. Take a look at the Neshannock cemetery listings.... and at Add-A-Grave. Also, we need to build rosters of the war heroes from Lawrence County. I'm going to start working on the Civil War... Please check out the Ancestral Heroes page and see if you have some ancestors from any of the wars - Revolutionary, 1812, Civil, Spanish American, WWI, WWII, Korea and Vietnam....that you can send in. You can reach the Ancestral Heroes link from the main page. And, we have three new "vital information" boards - births, deaths, marriages. These should be great. I know that often I'll run into a small piece of information: an announcement, a mention of a birth or marriage, death info that's just not really enough to be called an obituary. These new boards should be great for this kind of information. You can reach them through the Birth, Death & Marriages link on the main page. Well, that's it. Please stop by and see us. And let me know what you think. I welcome your comments, opinions, old photos, obituaries...... Teri USGenWeb coordinator Crawford, Mercer and Lawrence Counties
