I am searching for descendents of two families: The first: Alexander Binnie (b 1828, Scotland)and his wife Susanna McConnell(b 1823, Ireland) Their children: Susanna, b. 1846. Married J.W. WISE Jane, b. 1848. Married Rev. James GODWARD Christine, b 1850. Married John Gilbert HUFF Alexander, b 1853 John James, b 1857. Married Elizabeth FRY Elizabeth b 1860 Amanda E. b 1862. Married William CARPENTER William Henry, b 1864. The Binnie name is spelled Baney,Bainey, Benny and Binney , etc. They lived in both Mercer and Lawrence Counties. The second family: Arthur McConnell (b 1820, Ireland) and his wife Martha (b 1819) Their children: Elizabeth J, b 1851 Martha, b 1852 Anne, b 1854 William J, b 1856 James, b 1849 Liggett William, b 1848 Arthur, b 1846 There is also an Arthur McConnell b 1862 who married Nancy.They are in Mercer and Butler Co. I have gleaned this information from the Census and the helpful Mercer Co H.S.But I have a lot of questions left to answer. I hope someone connected to these two lines is on line!
