since I am new to the list, and had posted my family under a different subject line previously, I'm just posting it again ~ I've gotten some wonderful stuff from the New Castle library, except have not been able to locate JANE (ALLISON) BROWN's obituary, therefore cannot determine her parents, although I'm pretty sure of the grandparents, etc because of the "GABBY" middle name. according to my Dad, it would have been in the (late?) 1960's here's my names, etc for Lawrence Co. (New Castle) VAN SWEARINGEN BROWN & LYDIA J. MITCHELL (LYDIA the daughter of JOHN MITCHELL) their children: WILLIAM M. BROWN (m. R. Foultz) * OLIVER HAZARD PERRY BROWN ANNA (married ???? HOLLINGSWORTH) O.H.P. BROWN married ROSE PHILLIPS (daughter of J.T. PHILLIPS & MARTHA CABLE) their eldest son, OLIVER PHILLIPS BROWN married JANE ALLISON (of Washington Co.) their children: OLIVER P., JONATHAN A., & MARGARET GABBY BROWN -the last mentioned Oliver is my father's father. He married MARY HART (of Salem, MASS) (also) OLIVER P. & JONATHAN A. twins born 1914 and MARGARET married RALPH RAMSEY
