Dear List, I am looking for any information on a seemingly elusive family: Henry MARTIN and Florence DUNKLE gave birth to Jesse MARTIN in Wampum, PA in 1909. Jesse MARTIN and Selma (Sally) Audrey KAY are found in New Castle in the early 1900s. They married and gave birth to a Robert L. MARTIN in 1929. Selma is the daughter of Clyde KAY and Helen MUDER. Kay may be a shortened version of another name, perhaps KAYLOR. Jesse is said to have served 25 years in prison for stealing and murder during the depression. He was divorced from Selma and after his release is said to have moved into the hills of PA with a "hillbilly" woman. Does anyone have access to a record of this crime or be willing to do a lookup?
