Where would you Lawrence County Folks Look??? I've been trying Mercer Co, but no luck. What County was Harlansburg in during the 1820's? Amy McWhirter Hutton
Amy - The town of Harlansburg is on Rt 19 between New Castle and Slippery Rock approx 10 miles to the east of New Castle. Since it lies in the northern half of Lawrence County, it most likely came from Mercer County. Using one of the maps provided at Rootsweb (thanks Rootsweb) for a reference, it shows Harlansburg in Mercer.
