    1. [PALAWREN] The Gift
    2. As a gift to all genealogists around the world, wouldn't it be nice if we joined together, with a solemn promise never to name our children by their namesake; so that each and every infant born from now until the next millenium would have a different name? Just a thought. LOL Regards, Sun2Moon11@aol.com

    1. [PALAWREN] Lawrence Guardian - 6/10/1887
    2. Jill Hilderbrand & Bob Breslin
    3. Here's a few more snipits from "The Lawrence Guardian," New Castle, Friday, June 10, 1887, page 3. Telephonic connection between this village and New Castle now appears to be an utter impossibility. The expense of such a line is more than our people are able to bear. The Bell-phone company are hogs, and want the earth, and while our citizens are perfectly willing that the rest of mankind can do as they like in the matter, they will hold on to their own possessions. [New Wilmington Globe.] John Howard, recently employed in Scott Paisley's drug store. Washington Street is now a bookkeeper in the Adam's Express office, this city. Frank Andrews, of this city, who has been employed as a compositor in Pittsburgh, has returned to New Castle and is working on the "News." Joe Shinn, sone of John K. Shinn, formerly of this city, is now employed in the freight offices of the Pittsburgh & Fort Wayne R.R. Allegheny. Rev. J.Q.A. McDowell, of this city, who has been attending the U.P. General Assembly in Philadelphia, returned home Friday of last week. L.F. Howard, of the Fifth ward, has gone to Lockdale to superintend the erection of some works there for J.P. Witherow. Several men accompanied him. Miss Emma Alexander, of Wilmington township, has been reappointed a teacher in the Sharp?ville schools. Her salary has been increased $5 per month. Ansil Winternitz, of this city, who signed with the Leavenworth baseball club of the Western League this spring, has been released from that organization. more to come . . . Hope you are recognizing some surnames. Jill
