I am researching several families that I now find were Palatines. My first connection was Rev. Peter Helphinstine (Helfinstine) who came into Va. in the 1750s. They were one of the early settlers in Winchester (Frederick Co), Va. Another family that I am researching is the Piper family that came into Pa from Ireland. Didn't know until the past couple of weeks that they were Palatines. James Piper married a Margaret Greer (or possible Grear) in Ireland before coming to America.
