    3. The church you refer to seems to be Christ Protestant Episcopal Church organized in 1818 out of St. John's Church in Compass. Per "Churches and Cemeteries of Lancaster County": -- Church records, 1828-1879, including baptisms, confirmations, communicants, and marriages are in possession of St. James' Episcopal Church in Lancaster. -- Church records, 1828-1850, are included in a volume of the records of St. John's Episcopal Church, Compass, Chester Co. Microfilm copy at Lancaster Co Historical Society and Gen Soc of PA. -- Gravestone inscriptions available at Lancaster Co Historical Society and Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society.
