Wed., April 3, 1844 Lancaster Examiner & Herald, Deaths, p. 3: BUSHONG.-On March 27, Mrs. Anna BUSHONG, wife of Mr. John BUSHONG, of East Lampeter, in the 50th year of her age, of a long protracted and painful internal disease, which she bore with much Christian fortitude and resignation, and to the last was capable of conversing with her friends and of expressing a lively hope of enjoying a blessed immortality. VEAZEY.-In the borough of Manheim, Lancaster county, on the 23d ult., Dr. Thomas VEAZEY, in the 40th year of his age. His sickness was scarlet fever under which he suffered severely during the period of two weeks, until death relieved him of his earthly trouble, at half past 11 o'clock, P.M. on Saturday last.....He had practiced medicine in Manheim for nearly fifteen years.......[The tribute continues, but is not transcribed here.] BURROWES.-On Saturday afternoon, the 30th ult., John [BURROWES], aged 3 years; and on Monday morning, the 1st inst., William [BURROWES], aged 18 months, infant children of Thomas H. BURROWES, Esq., of Lancaster township. Wed., April 10, 1844 Lancaster Examiner & Herald, Deaths, p. 3: WIKE.-On Friday the 29th ult. at the residence of Mr. George WIKE, in Bart township, Levi WIKE, aged 20 years, 9 months and 9 days, of a pulmonary complaint. Wed., April 17, 1844 Lancaster Examiner & Herald, Deaths, p. 3: HENDERSON.-At Gap, on the 6th inst., Lydia Ann [HENDERSON], daughter of the late Thomas HENDERSON, Esq., in the 34th year of her age. LOCKHART.-On the 17th December, 1843, at Naguabo, P. R., Josiah LOCKHART, U. S. Vice Consul for that place and Humacao, P. R., in his 40th year--a citizen of Lancaster county, Pa., leaving four children to mourn his sudden loss. SHERER.-On Friday last, very suddenly, Mrs. Rebecca SHERER, consort of Mr. Jacob SHERER, of this city, in the 55th year of her age. SNYDER.-On Monday, April 15th, Mr. Jacob SNYDER, Sr. of this city, in the 61st year of his age.
