I'm also looking for the parents of a Catherine DIETRICH/DIETERICH who was from Lancaster County according to her son's death certificate in York County in 1920. The 1860 census shows Catherine as age 30 so I'm assuming her birth year was approximately 1830 in Lancaster County. Catherine married Samuel SMITH of York County and her maiden name is shown as DIETERICH on her son's, (my great-grandfather) baptismal certificate in 1858 at First Moravian Church in York. She's obviously a different Catherine than the one referred to here. Joan In a message dated 3/21/2009 6:16:03 P.M. Was it ever a surprise when I found 9 siblings or half siblings! My thoughts are that she was the only child of one of Henry Dietrich's marriages and she was half sister to all the rest. "My" Catherine's 1850 census states that she was born in PA about 1797. Thank you.
