    2. A source is merely where you learned about something--it CAN be a person telling you a "fact" from personal knowledge. However, you are correct that the accuracy and dependability of "sources" can vary--and someone telling you something they wouldn't have any reason to know from their own observation...may well be a "source" you'd want to verify by looking for documentation.
