Have no proof that Jacob DONNER / TANNER / DOWNER of Lampeter Twp, Lancaster Co PA married neighbor-girl Anna LANDIS, dau of Felix and Rosanna LANDIS, but other researchers say so without giving sources. Since Jacob was b. 1698 in Rottenacker, west of Ulm on the Donau (per canadian DONNER website), Anna LANDIS was b. abt 1705. No one says when she died. He remarried Elisabeth WOLSCHLEGEL / WELESLEGLE of Manheim Tp Lancaster Co PA before January 1753 when they show in a deed buying part of her father's land in Manheim Twp (Deed Book C-508). Elisabeth's parents Johannes WOLSCHLAGER and wife Margaretha have 4 children recorded in church book of Lambsheim in the Palatinate; they were said to live in Weisenheim am Sand, where the church book has serious gaps. Elisabeth must have immigrated with them on the ship Globe in 1723. Elisabeth's mother Anna WELESLEGEL wrote her will 9 July 1761, probated 7 Jan 1772; she named one 'child': Jacob DOWNER, plus 7 grandchildren named DOWNER -- Jacob, Catharine, John, Joseph, Susanna, Jonathan, and Jonas. This suggests that Elisabeth was already dead. There is no way of knowing how many of Jacob DONNER's children were born to his first wife, Anna LANDIS, vs. his 2nd wife, Elisabeth WOLSCHLEGEL. If George DONNER was b. Feb 1752, he could have been a son of the Jacob who was son of Jacob.
