Mag, You should know that in 1682 William Penn settled out the 1st 3 counties in Pennsylvania, Bucks, Chester & Philadelphia. It was 1729 before Lancaster was taken out of Chester County. So when searching for records in the area you have to include Chester when dealing with Lancaster. Another good thing would be to join the Pa-OldChester mail list for more information, if you have not done so already. Tim, Wanted you to know the PA-OLD-CHESTER list was one I would have never found - and I have already gotten several clues from it!
