LONG, Esq., of this city, in the 23d year of her age. LYNN.-On the 14ht ult., in Philadelphia, Mrs. Elizabeth LYNN, formerly of this city, in the 61st year of her age. SLAYMAKER.-On the 23d ult., at the residence of Mr. Sowers, Philadelphia, Miss Rebecca Ann [SLAYMAKER], daughter of Henry F. SLAYMAKER, Esq., of Salisbury, Pa. [A tribute follows which is not transcribed here.] Wed., Feb. 15, 1843 Lancaster Examiner & Herald, Deaths, p. 3: HULL.-At his residence, in Philadelphia, on Monday morning, the 13th inst., Commodore Isaac HULL, of the United Stated Navy. The name of this venerable and gallant officer is connected with some of the brightest achievements in the naval history of his country. To a bravery which has never been surpassed in the annals of the service to which he belonged, he united a modesty, a cheerfulness and a generosity of personal character that secured for him affection and respect wherever he was known. The star-spangled banner never waved over an officer more chivalrous or a citizen more estimable. Wed., Feb. 22, 1843 Lancaster Examiner & Herald, Deaths, p. 3: DANNIS.-Very suddenly, on the 11th inst., at the house of Jacob Sharrer, in Franklin township, William DANNIS, aged about 50 years. We are requested to state, for the information of his brother and sister, who reside in Lancaster county, Pa. the the deceased had resided in the neighborhood for about 6 months, and has borne a most excellent character. RUSSELL.-On the 16th inst., Mrs. Catharine RUSSELL, relict of Mr. Robert RUSSELL, dec'd, of this city, aged 37 years and 28 days. BYERLY.-On the 12th inst. after a short illness, at her residence near Lancaster, Mrs. Nancy BYERLY, aged 23 years. M'KINNEY.-At Marietta, on the 9th inst., Mr. Samuel M'KINNEY, in the 57th year of his age. A long and respectable citizen of that place.
