Hello to the group- I am interested in finding the burial spots of some of my ancestors. My line is from Hans Heinrich Kundig d.1720(of West Willow,Lancaster Co PA) to Hans Jacob Kendig d.1735(of Strasburg Twp.Lancaster Co PA) to Barbara Kendig d.bef.1761 (Chanceford Co Lancaster then York Co PA)married to Abraham Burkholder. Does anyone know if any of these burial sites are marked and in what cemetaries they would be located? Thank you in advance for all your help. Margie
Margie, If you have access to FindAGrave, there are many Kendigs listed for Lancaster county there, some have headstones pictured. There is a Henrich 1708 - 1756 memorial # 53570525, linked to the pages of Hans Jacob memorial# 53578953, and Susanna Wymann memorial # 53579239 as his parents. Susanna burial location is unknown, Hans Jacobs is also unknown, and Henrichs burial location is Twin Elm Road cemetery, but theres no location info for the cemetery/burial locatiion. On Henrichs page there is also a link to a Maria Wolfe, said to be Henrichs wife, also said to be buried at Twin Elm Road. When I went to FindAGrave, I just put in the last name Kendig and set the perameters for US-PA-Lancaster, and it brought up all the Kendigs entered that are known to be buried in Lancaster county. There is at least 3-4 pgs of names there. Might turn out to be helpful.
