    3. Wed., July 3, 1844 Lancaster Examiner & Herald, Deaths, p. 3: FRAZER.-On Thursday evening last, in this city, at the residence of his only brother, Resh FRAZER, Esq., Lieutenant William FRAZER, of the 3d Reg. of Artillery, U. S. A., after a comparatively short but severe attack of Consumption, in the 29th year of his age. He was the youngest son of the late Judge FRAZER, and was born in Lancaster. He entered West Point as a Cadet, in June,1832, and graduated and received his Diploma in June 1836[?]. In July of the same year, he was commissioned Brev. 2d Lieutenant in the 3d Regiment of the Artillery of the United States. In October of the same year, he joined his regiment in Florida, where he continued in active service until June 1838, having during this period, commanded the company, and performed the duties of a Captain. In July 1838, he was commissioned 1st Lieutenant, and at the period of his decease he was highest on the list for promotion. He was attached for a period of two years and a half, to the company of Light Artillery, now stationed at Fort McHenry, Baltimore, and commanded by Major Ringgold. He was in command of his company at the Battle of Loochahatiche[?], Florida, where General Jessup was wounded--an engagement in which the deceased, according to the reports of several of those concerned in it, distinguished himself by his courage and determination. He again served the last campaign of the Florida war, from the fall of 1841, to the spring of 1842, when he was transferred to Pensacola, and afterwards to Savannah, Georgia. It is remarkable that in all the posts which our youthful soldier filled, he succeeded, in every case, in obtaining the affection of his associates and the confidence of his superiors..........He was the last remaining but one of his family..........His remains were interred in the Family burying ground in Strasburg township, on Sunday morning last, attended by a large concourse of his friends.
