Wed., Nov. 15, 1843 Lancaster Examiner & Herald, Deaths, p. 3: HAMERSLY.-At York, Pa. on Wednesday morning last, on her return from a visit to her sons, at Lancaster, in the 60th year of her age, Mrs. Eliza HAMERSLY, widow of the late Robert HAMERSLY, Esq., of York. [A tribute follows which is not transcribed here.] BOYS.-On Saturday morning last, after a lingering illness, Mr. William BOYS, in the 72d year of his age. Thus died a good man, at a mellow old age, honored and respected by all who knew him. Wed., Nov. 22, 1843 Lancaster Examiner & Herald, Deaths, p. 2: REIST.-In Manheim township, on the 3rd of november last Mrs. Ann A. REIST, consort of the late Peter REIST, aged 74 years and 8 months. FORREY.-At his residence in Columbia, on Wednesday the 15th inst, with an attack of Palsy, John FORREY, Esq. aged about 67 years. Mr. FORREY was some years since a member of the House of Representatives of this State, from this county, and for some time past, President of the Columbia Bank & Bridge Company of this place. He was one of our most useful and enterprising citizens; honest and upright in his dealings, and had the respect and esteem of all who knew him. WIEN.-In Philadelphia, on the 14th inst. John WIEN, formerly of this city, in the 65th year of his age. Wed., Nov. 29, 1843 Lancaster Examiner & Herald, Deaths, p. 2: BOWERS.-On the 26th inst., Abraham BOWERS of Manor township. WATSON.-At his residence in East Donegal twp, Lancaster county, on the evening of the 16th of November, Dr. John WATSON, aged 80 years and 10 months. He was a laborious and successful practitioner for more than 65[?] years. On the 18th his corpse, with the usual religious ceremonies, and with a numerous train of friends and neighbors, was conveyed to, and deposited in, the house appointed for all the living. CONKEY.-Died, at Peachbottom[sic], on the 16th of October, at 2 o'clock P. M. Miss Caroline [McCONKEY], daughter of James McCONKEY, in the 20th[?] year of her age.
