LE BRETON.-It is with deep felt sorrow we have to record the death of our respected fellow citizen, Ame LE BRETON, who died of cholera, in the city of Cincinnatti[sic], on the 16th ultimo, in the 70th year of his age. Mr. LE BRETON, was a native of France, from which he emigrated many years ago, and settled in this city. About five years since his daughter, a highly accomplished and intelligent young lady, was married to a gentleman named JENNINGS. Mr. Jennings died of cholera, in the state of Mississippi. Mrs. JENNINGS survived her husband but a short time, and fell a victim to the same awful scourge, leaving her infant among strangers. Mr. LE BRETON, deeply effected with the calamity which had befallen his family, set out for the purpose of becoming the protector of his orphan grand-child, and on his return, was seized with the same disease, which had proved so fatal to his son-in-law and daughter, and died at Cincinnatti[sic], leaving the bereaved orphan again among strangers: But "he who tempers the wind to the shorn lamb" raised up friends and protectors to the forlorn one: Bishop Purcell, the benevolent, the Christian Bishop Purcell, after soothing the last moments of the expiring grandfather, took the infant to his bosom. We understand the child is to be placed under the care of Mrs. RISDO[?] of this city, whose affection for the mother will be transferred with interest to her infant. Of the deceased Ame LE BRETON, we may say with Pope, "An honest man is the noblest work of God." Mr. ULHORN, late pastor of the Lutheran Church in Baltimore. LEAMAN.-Died, of a pulmonary affection, on Saturday the 10th inst. Miss E. Cecelia [LEAMAN], daughter of Jacob LEAMAN, Esq. of this city, in the 20th year of her age.
