Thurs, May 14, 1835 Lancaster Examiner & Herald, Deaths p. 3: McGLAUGHLIN.-On Thursday morning, 7th inst. Major James McGLAUGHLIN, long a respectable citizen of Columbia, aged about 63 years. JOHNSTON.-In Washington, Michael R. JOHNSTON, aged 55 years 5 months and 9 days. The deceased was a kind friend and neighbor. Thurs, May 21, 1835 Lancaster Examiner & Herald, Deaths p. 3: JOHNSON.-Suddenly, on Monday night, 27th ultimo, at the residence of Mr. Jethro JOHNSON, near North[?] East, Cecil county, Md., Mr. Joshua HARLAN. The deceased came to his death from mortification occasioned by running a splinter into his hand a few weeks ago. He is a stranger in this county, and a mill wright by profession. It is said he has relations living in Lancaster and Baltimore. The papers in those cities would be conferring an act of humanity by noticing the above.
