    3. Hi Everyone, I have two books for Lancaster County from which I will do lookups. The first is "Marriages and Deaths from the Newspapers of Lancaster County Pennsylvania, 1831-1840". The newspapers from which the articles are taken are the - Lancaster Examiner: 1831 - Apr 3, 1834; Apr 20, 1837 - 1840; Lancaster Journal: Jan 14, 1831 - Jun 27, 1834; May 12, 1837, Jun 2, 1837, Dec 1, 1837; Lancaster Union: Apr 6, 1835 - Mar 17, 1840; Bethania Palladium: Jul 27, 1832 - Oct 19, 1834; Lancaster Intelligencer: Jun 12, 1838 - Nov 12, 1839; Columbia Spy: 1831 - May 11, 1833 (scattered) Lancaster Union: May 28, 1834 - Mar 31, 1835; Anti-Masonic Herald: Nov 6, 1832; Lancaster Examiner & Herald: a few entries from 1835, 1839 & 1840 Standard of Liberty & Lancaster County Democrat: Sep 23, 1831 The second is "An Index to the Will Books and Intestate Records of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, 1729-1850". This gives the Name, Year, Book, Volumn & Page. According to the book "Typed or photostatic copies of Wills may be obtained by writing to the Office of the Register of Wills." Also - "The Wills of those persons who died in this region prior to the erection of Lancaster County (May 10, 1729) are registered in the Chester County Court House at West Chester, the County Seat since September 25, 1786, where they were removed from Old Chester. There are no Orphans Court records prior to 1740." Janie
