    3. This is a very kind offer. Thank you so much! I am searching for the following: 1. HALDEMAN / HALDIMAN / HALDAMAN /etc. [there were several given names in the area in the time period of your books, all seem to be related and I am researching all of them in attempting to sort out the families. I don't think there were too many in this early time period.] 2. HACKENBERGER / HACHENBERGER / any other similar spelling. 3. WOLF / WOLFF / etc., Mathias/Matheus/Matts/Mathus/etc. b. mid-1700's 4. ZEIGLER / ZIEGLER / ZEEGLER / ZEGELER SIGLAR / etc., Martin b. 1779 Thank you again, Elizabeth ==================================================== On Thu, Dec 11, 2008 at 3:00 PM, Janie <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi Everyone, > > I have two books for Lancaster County from which I will do lookups. > > The first is "Marriages and Deaths from the Newspapers of Lancaster County > Pennsylvania, 1831-1840". > The newspapers from which the articles are taken are the - > Lancaster Examiner: 1831 - Apr 3, 1834; Apr 20, 1837 - 1840; > Lancaster Journal: Jan 14, 1831 - Jun 27, 1834; May 12, 1837, Jun 2, 1837, > Dec 1, 1837; > Lancaster Union: Apr 6, 1835 - Mar 17, 1840; > Bethania Palladium: Jul 27, 1832 - Oct 19, 1834; > Lancaster Intelligencer: Jun 12, 1838 - Nov 12, 1839; > Columbia Spy: 1831 - May 11, 1833 (scattered) > Lancaster Union: May 28, 1834 - Mar 31, 1835; > Anti-Masonic Herald: Nov 6, 1832; > Lancaster Examiner & Herald: a few entries from 1835, 1839 & 1840 > Standard of Liberty & Lancaster County Democrat: Sep 23, 1831 > > The second is "An Index to the Will Books and Intestate Records of > Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, 1729-1850". > This gives the Name, Year, Book, Volumn & Page. > According to the book "Typed or photostatic copies of Wills may be obtained > by writing to the Office of the Register of Wills." > Also - "The Wills of those persons who died in this region prior to the > erection of Lancaster County (May 10, 1729) are registered in the Chester > County Court House at West Chester, the County Seat since September 25, > 1786, where they were removed from Old Chester. 3. Hi Elizabeth! Item #2 is a BIG BINGO! I have been digging up old HACKENBERGER/HACHENBERGER's for about 27 yrs. Let me know who you've got and I'll check my files to see if/how there's a connection. This is like getting an early Christmas present!   Toni --- On Fri, 12/12/08, elizabeth <[email protected]> wrote: From: elizabeth <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [PALANCAS] Will Do LOOKUPS To: [email protected] Date: Friday, December 12, 2008, 1:15 AM This is a very kind offer.
