My understand is that the data can't be copyrighted, but the presentation can be. To take occasional entries out of a book to share would be one thing, but to lift a lot of information from the book would be something else again. And while I'm all for sharing information, if there are too many requests at one time, to post all of the answers on the list might border on copyright infringement--but to answer the question off-line to an individual might not be.
