I really appreciate the responses from Nancy and Marie. The only thing I have to go on is her name . . . Elizabeth Eyle . . . as it was written in a Baltimore ledger of applications for marriage licenses in 1818 and her obituary as Elizabeth Whittle that gave her age and the fact that she was born in Lancaster Co., Pa. On the death ctf. of one of her sons her name was given as Elizabeth Hall but a fellow researcher said that the German pronunciation for Eyle is gutteral and could be heard as Hall. As you can see, I don't have much to go on and perhaps I'm looking for a needle in a haystack. Thanks for the help and I'll keep what you've sent me on file.
