I am new to this list. My husband's g.g.grandmother was Elizabeth (Betsy) EYLE who was born in Lancaster Co. in 1785. Does anyone have any information on her or her family? When she was 33 she married Jeremiah WHITTLE and they lived in Towson, Baltimore Co., Md. where she died in 1877. While JEREMIAH WHITTLE lived in Maryland as did his brother JOHN NELSON WHITTLE, I have never been able to find any record of their births there, which would have been C1774 - 1775. I wonder if perhaps they were also born in Pennsylvania and if anyone might know the names of their parents. Thanks in advance for any help. Ruth Brooks

Do you have any alternate spellings for EYLE? I did find limited EYLER, IHLE, & IHLER in the records of Trinity Lutheran, Lancaster, but none matching the information you gave. In a quick check of my books I don''t find the surname WHITTLE either.
