Maybe he was named after my ancestor. ;) Harriet. ----------------- Harriet, was your David born in Wales? I wonder about Rev. David HUFMAN b 1/7/1769 in PA, parents born in Wales? Could he be a son of your David b 1746? Do you have more info on your David, and a wife's name, besides one named John? There is a BIO in Lancaster Co: Biographical Annals of Lancaster Co, Beers, 1903, p 111: The Hufman family came from Wales where three of their children were born. Rev. David Hufman, one of their children born in America, was a farmer by occupation, and a local preacher at the Methodist Episcopal church. He was born 1/7/1769 and died 5/26/1855. His wife was Elizabeth Williams, daughter of Capt. Williams, of the Revolution. She died 8/9/1843. Both are buried in the M E churchyard at Geigertown, Berks Co., PA. The Williams family came from England. The children of David and Elizabeth (Williams) Hufman were: John, who married Abigail Cramp; William, who married Sarah Cramp; Hannah, wife of John Geiger; Henry, who married Mary Walters; Ann, wife of Michael Sands; Jonathan who married Margaret White; Elizabeth who married George Ireson; and Matilda R, wife of Peter Brown.
