Good Morning; I am looking for information on: Curtis Kercher b abt 1820 PA Barbara Keiser/Kizer b abt 1820 PA I do have their marriage date: August 23, 1832 by Rev. Sunniston. Curtis Kercher to Miss Barbara Keiser, both of Manheim, PA. Found in the book: Marriages & Deaths from the Newspapers of Lancaster Couty, Pennsylvania, 1831-1840. I did contact the Manheim Genealogical library. They didn't find any information on either name. They suggested I contact Lancaster County. This info from my paternal grandmother Grace Muriel Appuhn Stevens. Curtis and Barbara Keiser Kercher were her ggrandparents. Their only daughter Susan (I have a picture of her) Kercher Appuhn was her paternal grandmother. 1. David Kercher b 3-3-1843 Lancaster, Pa, d abt 1913 Philadelphia, PA. M Rachel Matilda Cherry, 1868 Wayne County, OH One son Delano (no children) was a doctor in Philly and died abt 1918 in Philly. 2. Harry Kercher b abt 1845 PA. (Family thinks he homesteaded in KS. So far, I don't have any info on this). 3. Susan Kercher b 1847 Allentown, PA (haven't found info confirming this) d abt 1914 Greenwood, Cass County, NE. M Johan Friederich (Fred) Appuhn September 1865 Wooster, Wayne County, OH. They had the two sons in Wayne County, Harry Curtis, John David (my ggrandpa). They homesteaded in Cass County, NE in 1868, where the rest of their children were born: Samuel Albert b 1869; Tillie A. b 1874 (died without marrying); Hettie Belle b 1876; Frederich E. b 1878; Mary b 1884; Susan b abt 1888; Alice abt 1889 (died in prairie fire at abt 3 or 4 years old). 4. Will Kercher b abt 1850 Lancaster County, PA. Story goes he went to sea as a young man and they never heard from him again. Any information on Curtis and Barbara will be greatly appreciated.
