    3. Hi Noreen, I basically gave up on trying to find my Fox line from Lancaster<prob Germany, so thought I would start "dumping" some old correspondence and compilations my mother had before she died in 1968, very much of which does not relate to my lines, to various lists in the hope that it can help someone else. It gets archived, for how many years I don't know, but some people go in and search through those archives and may find something. It has helped me more than once on other ancestors from pieces of information someone has taken the trouble to contribute. All I know about my ancestry down that line is that my second great grandmother was a Catharine Elizabeth FOX (may have been Fuchs when first got off the boat) born January 11, 1814 in Lancaster County, m June 19 1834 in Carrolton, Carroll County, Ohio Joseph FETTERS born Riegel, Baden, Germany (won't give more dates on him). Fetters may have settled PA first; I haven't looked through that genealogy for a long time. The couple and their family moved from Ohio to Knox County, Illinois; Catharine died after1880 in Yates City, Knox County, IL. Children: John, b 1835; Casper Balitice, b 1837; Augustus, b 1838; Sarah Ann, b 1840; Nancy Jane, b 1843; Joseph Henry, b 1856; Oliver Perry, b 1847; Harriett Emma "Hattie" (my gr grandmother), b 1848; George Farmington, b 1849; Mary Ellen, b 1852; Louis Napolean, b 1856. My mother had very sparse info on her, had a piece of a quilt with Stark County, Ohio embroidered on it, had her obituary at one time, and they were among the first settlers in that part of Illinois, their cabin being very isolated. The piece of quilt and obituary I don't have, some other info did get passed down to me. I have a complete Fetters genealogy done by a Fetters cousin, but we all hit a brick wall on Catharine, and it is a difficult name to research, and PA is really hard for me here in Iowa; the records gone, scattered, name spelling permutations, too much moving around, etc. So I gave up on it and don't want anyone going way out of their way to try to find more for me at this point unless I just happen to make a fortunate connection.
